PARADISE
To die would be an awfully big adventure,
She ran away in her sleep, and dreamed of paradise
Every time she closed her eyes,
Every time she closed her eyes,
Imagine all the wonderful things, I can see, and hear,
As soon as I run away from here,
So she did, but when she got there,
They asked her a question, not many, but just one,
One simple question,
Who are you, and why are you here?
The woman said in simple terms,
There’s many tales, I’ve lived to tell.
I’ve been searching, but he was on a mission,
Our hearts collided, like a neutron star conclusion,
And our love, would, did, and had, lasted forever.
He said, “if we die, we die together,”
If you jump I jump,
But he jumped many years ago,
And I’ve been left alone,
Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away,
But now im here to ask,
Am I part of the cure, or am I part of the disease?
I don’t believe that anybody feels the way I do,
We were born to die,
And I’m ready now, to fly from the highest trees,
I believe,
I had a dream
I don't quite understand the line "Am I part of the cure, or am I part of the disease?" Other than that, what I gather is it's about two peoplle who've made a suicide pledge. She wasn't ready to it though and he was. Leaving her to comtemplate for years until she could finally tet the courage to keep her promise. Other than that I'm not quite sure. This one was harder for me to understand, but it read and flowed well. :)
ReplyDeleteBtw, I know I've left a few blank but don't worry, I'll finish the rest as soon as I can tomorrow. :) Very good so far.
