our love is hanging by a rope.

I'll be hanging from a rope, and I will haunt you like a ghost,
the innocence of our past, is now corrupt with our futures.
You do what you please, you don't care who you hurt,
You build those walls up, Tall and glorious,
and I tried to tear them down,
But It was just a waste,
tears streaming down my face,
there is a time and a place to love,
but this ain't it.

  1. I like what this is saying and especially love the lines "but it was just a waste, tears streaming down my face,". However I feel that the first line, and the last two lines contradict each other. My impression from the first like is she has hung herself and is now going to haunt him forever--as per the line. But the last two make it seem like she's simply going to move on. She accepts that love will never be a power between them and she needs to move on. Obviously going against he initial intent to never leave his side.
