Ghost

 

You’re a shadow of my past,

The mist of my future,

You remind me of what life use to be like,

Fun, and happy.

But now you can’t return,

And it’s taken a toll on my spirit.

Sad and forgotten you lay in the ground.

Bones aching, heart not beating,

You’re a ghost, and that’s all you can be,

You’ll never return,

But now I can see,

I don’t need a Carcass

To prove what we had.

I’ll lay in this ground besides you one day,

But until then,

You may haunt me with your love,

And drowned me in your sorrows.
